WASHINGTON (7News) — Plan for a damp, cloudy and cool Father's Day in the DC area due to a stalled boundary over Virginia. Temperatures will remain below-average since the boundary is south of the city.
Shower chances increase during the afternoon and evening. Heavy rain is not expected, but a rumble of thunder or two can't be ruled out.
High temperatures this afternoon will range from the upper 60s to low 70s, about 15 degrees below-average for this time of year.
Low temperatures tonight will dip into the low to middle 60s. A steady rain may develop over areas west of highway 15.
The upcoming week brings a quick rebound in temperatures on Tuesday. Expect highs in the low 90s starting Wednesday with more humidity. Thursday may feature severe weather due to an approaching weather-maker combined with heat and humidity.
