Crash in Alexandria involving police cruiser leaves two with serious injuries

WASHINGTON (7News) — A crash in the City of Alexandria left a person with serious injuries, police said.

A vehicle crash at Franklin and South Patrick closed down Northbound Patrick and Southbound Gibbon on Saturday, said the Alexandria Police Department (APD).

An APD cruiser was involved in the incident, said Police.

The driver and the officer were transported with serious, but not life-threatening injuries, said APD.

The crash is under investigation, said APD.
