BLADENSBURG, Md. (7News) — A Sunday morning electrical pole fire in Bladensburg led to some road closures and power outages.
Both eastbound lanes of 57th Avenue and Annapolis Road were closed off as fire units worked on the blaze, which started after a transformer blew and caused the pole to ignite.
Pepco was notified of the electrical pole fire, and crews are working to restore power, according to the Bladensburg Police Department.
