World Pride Music Festival in DC: What to know about lineup, tickets, parades, more

For the first time ever, WorldPride is in Washington, D.C., and it's bringing a celebration like no other.

The World Pride Music Festival: Global Dance Party will take over the RFK Festival Grounds for two days -- June 6 and 7 -- welcoming thousands of people from across the world.

The two-day event with 60+ performances across three stages is open to attendees 18 and older to celebrate LGBTQ+ pride, love, and community.

Here’s everything you need to know before you go:

Tickets:

GA 2-Day Pass ($259+): Access to all stages, bars, free water stations, band merch, and lockers for rent with charging stations

GA+ 2-Day Pass ($309+): Everything in GA, plus faster entry and access to premium air-conditioned restrooms

VIP 2-Day Pass ($499+): VIP lounge access, front-of-stage viewing, private restrooms and bars, exclusive food vendors, and express lanes

Artist lineup:

The music festival was initially set to kick off with a welcome concert headlined by Colombian singer Shakira, but that was canceled.

Friday: Jennifer Lopez, Galantis, Paris Hilton, Rita Ora, Tinashe, Trisha Paytas, Marine, and a special closing set by Zedd

Saturday: Troye Sivan, Grimes, Kim Petras, RuPaul, Sasha Colby, Purple Disco Machine

Security and rules:

Officials are enforcing a zero-tolerance policy for drug use and possession. Event officials said people can expect officers working inside and outside of the event.

You can expect TSA-style searches at the entrance.

Allowed items include:

  • E-cigs/vapes
  • Reusable water bottles (must be empty upon entry)
  • Non-professional cameras
  • Glowsticks & glowing/illuminated costumes
  • Clear bags and do not exceed 12x6x12
  • Handmade signs

Prohibited items include:

  • Aerosol products/cans
  • Costumes that resemble public safety uniforms
  • Over-the-counter medication
  • Stickers, flyers
  • Laser pointers and air horns
