'Secrets of Bunny Ranch' reveal disturbing details of infamous brothel- Your weekend watch

(TNND) — Dennis Hof and his brothel, the Moonlite Bunny Ranch, skyrocketed to fame with the unscripted series ‘Cathouse’ which ran from 2005-2014. Life on the show was portrayed as one giant, sometimes outrageous party, but former employees say the portrayal is inaccurate and say it was actually a dehumanizing experience behind the scenes. The glamorous world of ‘Cathouse’ was, according to employees, a brothel filled with bullying, humiliation, and sexual assault.

A+E’s new documentary ‘Secrets of Bunny Ranch’ features more than two dozen women from these brothels speaking out about what actually happened, why they felt trapped, and exposes little-known details about the ranch’s owner, Hof.

Hof owned several legal brothels in Nevada and even ran for the Nevada State Legislature.

This six-episode event details the allegations of numerous rapes, assaults and sex trafficking against Hof.

This series has numerous emotional interviews with the women from his brothels, detailing the extreme and harsh conditions and treatment they were facing.

‘Secrets of Bunny Ranch’ brings to light what went down behind the scenes of ‘Cathouse,’ which was one of HBO’s top shows at the time and was filmed at Hof’s Moonlite Bunny Ranch in Mound House, NV, just outside of Carson City. With never-before-seen interviews, personal photos, and exclusive footage, the documentary explores the wild history of Hof and his brothels.
