Flash flood warnings were in effect for portions of the D.C. metro on Sunday night that have since been allowed to expire.

Flash Flood Warnings for portions of Prince Georges and Charles counties were allowed to expire after radar estimates of up to 5 inches fell.

While the flash flood warnings have ended, there could still be cases of ponding on roads and swelling of creeks, streams and low water crossings. Remember, if you come across any water-covered roads, turn around; don't drown.

The First Alert Weather Team will continue to monitor this situation very closely with more chances for showers and storms for the week ahead.
