Choreographer, Teacher, Latin Dance Performer and DanceInTime Founder Barbara Bernstein joined Good Morning Washington on Thursday with a group of dancers for an exciting performance, and to encourage people of all skill levels to try their hand at dance.

This appearance served as a reunion for Bernstein and GMW Host Brian van de Graaff, after he joined her “Dancing with the Local Stars” event over a decade ago.

Bernstein’s new book, “Salsa Dancing & Rueda de Casino Guidebook For Beginner to Advanced Dancers” discusses the unique health benefits of dancing, offers insights on being a great performer and, of course, features the iconic photo from her and Van de Graaff’s event.

It was the pandemic that inspired Bernstein to put her dance teaching into writing, and with inspiration from her son, turned it into a published book, with “everything that could be relevant to a dancer”, she said.

Latin Dance Performers Paul Bagdanove and Anna “Anita” Wolf salsa’d alongside Latin Dance Performer and Teacher Marcia de Jesus and Bernstein. And DanceInTime assures that with enough practice, anyone can be an amazing dancer just like them.

To order the book or learn online, visit DanceInTime’s website here, or visit the DanceInTime team on Saturdays at the Chevy Chase Baptist Church for “Cuban Salsa” class.
